Why We/I Want A Surrogate Mother, Egg Donor Or Sperm Donor:
Myself and my partner wish to find a surrogate mother due to myself not being able to carry a child due to a congenital heart problem. |
Description Of Us:
I am 26 years old, non smoker from birmingham United Kingdom. I'm about 5'4 in height with dark hair and blue eyes. I've been with my partner for 5 years. My partner is 28, non smoker also from Birmingmam United Kingdom. He is about 5'10/11 in height and he has blonde hair and brown eyes. We have both lived together for nearly 2 years. We both enjoy holidays, seeing family & friends, going for meals, watching new films and spending time working on our house. |
My Letter To Surrogate Mother, Egg Donor Or Sperm Donor:
Dear potential surrogate mother,
Let me introduce myself & my partner. My name is Kerry, I'm 26 and I'm from Birmimgham, United Kingdom. My partner is lee, he's 28 and also from Birmimgham, United Kingdom. We were introduced to each other in August 2009 by mutual friends and as the saying goes, the rest was history. We have now been together happily for 5 years. We bought our first home together in January 2013 and have spent nearly 2 years decorating. We live in a little area in birmingham close to all our family and friends, a factor that was very important to us when buying our house. When we bought our home a lot of people said 'why have you bought a 3 bedroom house when there's only 2 if you?' The simple answer to this was 'because one day we want to start a family of our own'. Well, not long after we moved in together we started talking about starting out family, we both agreed we were ready to try for a baby and were so excited at the thought of having a little bundle of joy in the not so distant future! However, before we could get too carried away, we knew there maybe something stopping us. Me. Unfortunately, I was born with a very rare congenital heart disease. I had 3 major operations to correct it all before I was 18 months old, thankfully I remember none of this. Over the years I've had a few blips, such as when I was 6 I got diagnosed with a very small leak in 1 of my valves, which I take medication for daily. I've been in hospital on the odd occasion but only for a few days at a time, and now thankfully thanks to advancement in operations and medicine I lead a pretty normal life! However, we knew I needed to speak to my consultant before we started trying for a baby. I thought everything would be fine and she would probably just day I would have to take early maternity leave. I was very wrong. Turns out pregnancy for me would be a huge risk, one of the biggest risks being 60 chance of miscarriage or still birth, and a high chance of my heart problem becoming worse during and after pregnancy. This was a big shock to me and my partner. It's been about 4 months since we were told this news, and after a lot of talking we decided natural way of having a baby wouldn't be an option for us due to the risks associated with it. So, we had more talks about other options, and the more we talked the more we kept coming back to surrogacy. So, we researched and researched into it, and decided this is the route we would like to take to help start our family. So, here we are. I'm hoping that we can find someone who can help us on our journey to become parents and help us start the family we so desperately want. I hope I have told you enough information about us. However, if you would like to know anymore about us, please do get in touch with me. I would love to get to know you and know more about you too. Thank you so much for reading this letter and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
