Dear Potential Surrogate, Even though I haven't met you yet, I want to thank you for your generosity to be a surrogate and go this journey with intended parents. It does take a special person that is willing to help potential parents. I’m grateful you are an angel and hero. A little bit about me. I've always wanted to have children. The traditional route of growing my family with a husband did not occur. After I was diagnosed with breast cancer, my fertility doctor told me not to carry my own babies because of the hormones and potential for the cancer to return. I’ve been cancer free since 2015. I knew that there were other options to have children. I chose the option to create embryos and ask an angel and hero to carry them for me. My family and friends are extremely supportive and eager to meet my expanding family. I work as a nurse anesthesiologist at a local hospital with flexible hours to meet the demands of parenthood. So here I am. I’m ready and committed to the process. As you will learn, I’m not a micromanager. I am able to adapt to multiple situations. There will be times when we need to communicate a lot. However, I respect your personal and family time because I know you won’t get the time back. I’m more than grateful and excited about this journey.
