Why We/I Want A Surrogate Mother, Egg Donor Or Sperm Donor:
We long to have a child of our own, but as a same-sex couple, we’re not able to do that without the help of someone extraordinary. That’s why we’re turning to surrogacy.
Surrogacy gives us the chance to have a biological connection to our child—something we’ve dreamed about for years—but more than that, it offers us the opportunity to finally grow our family in a way that reflects who we are and the life we’ve built together.
We’ve explored many paths to parenthood, and while we’ve considered adoption and foster care and still hold great respect for those journeys, surrogacy has always felt like the most natural and meaningful way for us to bring a child into the world, with a little help from someone whose kindness makes that dream possible. |
Description Of Us:
We’re a married couple, both 36 years old, originally from Ireland and now living in London for the past 10 years. We've been together for 15 years and married for two. I work as an Occupational Therapist in neuro-rehabilitation with the NHS, and Paul works in Human Resources for a large financial firm.
We would describe ourselves as fun, loving, and caring people who enjoy the simple things in life—spending time with our friends, travelling, cycling, going to the gym, and making the most of every day. We have a strong and supportive network of friends here in London, many of whom are like extended family to us. At the same time, we’re very close to our families in Ireland and visit home several times a year to stay connected.
I have two sisters and Paul has one brother, all living in Ireland. Together, we have six nephews and two nieces whom we adore and stay closely connected with, despite the distance.

My Letter To Surrogate Mother, Egg Donor Or Sperm Donor:
First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to read this letter. We want to express our deepest admiration for the strength, compassion, and generosity it takes to even consider becoming a surrogate. What you’re doing is nothing short of extraordinary, and we’re incredibly grateful for the chance to introduce ourselves to you.
I’m Joe and my husband is Paul. We are a married couple in our 30s who have been together for over 15 years. Our journey together has been filled with love, growth, and a shared dream: to one day become fathers. We’ve built a beautiful life and strong foundation as a couple, and now we’re ready to welcome a child into our lives to share in that love.
Family is everything to us. Being uncles has filled our lives with joy and laughter, and it's made us even more certain that we’re ready to share that love with a child of our own.
We know we cannot do this without someone special like you. It’s not lost on us how incredible and selfless it is to carry a child for someone else. We want you to know that, if we’re fortunate enough to go on this journey with you, you will have our full support—physically, emotionally, and in every other way. We will always honor and respect your needs and comfort, and make sure you feel valued and cared for every step of the way.
Becoming fathers is our biggest dream. We are ready to give a child a home filled with unconditional love, warmth, laughter, and guidance. With your help, we hope to turn that dream into reality.
Thank you for considering being such a vital part of our story. No matter what, we are grateful for women like you who make the impossible possible.
With love and gratitude,
Joe and Paul |
