About the intended parents

G. and I met at work about 10 years ago and we started seeing each other about a year later.Humour is for sure what brought us together and why we still love being together. We know we are fortunate and we try to share a little bit where we can, by donating to Sick Kids, the Canadian Cancer Society and the local food bank, as well as by sponsoring a little girl in India. We are not rich, but we have a roof over our heads and food on the table, so we are grateful. We have a relatively large extended family and our children will have 12 cousins, since G. has 3 nieces and nephews and I have nine. We live in a good size house on a huge lot, so there is a lot of room for kids to play outside. We dream of ice rinks, baby pools, mini outdoor furniture, swing sets, etc... This will be a great place to raise children!

What they are looking for

We have been ttc for a number of years. We did IUI about 7 times, miscarried after the second IUI, and went straight to donor IVF because of my age. At the time, I thought that we had it figured out. Well, was I ever wrong! We had a messed up (and costly cycle) that resulted in no embryo the first time. We started again with the same donor a while after and the second time we ended up with 10 day 3 embryos. We were thrilled. I got pregnant after the fresh transfer and miscarried at 5 weeks. We then did a frozen transfer and I got pregnant again, only to miscarry not once, but twice (one week apart). I have since been diagnosed with adenomyosis. I had a round of treatment (LUPRON) and my uterus looked so much better that we decided to do another transfer with me, which resulted in a chemical pregnancy. Long story short, We are now working with a WONDERFUL SURROGATE, but we have only 3 embryos left and I am scared out of my mind that this is not going to be enough.
