I am currently in a relationship with a woman who has two children by another man, and she's unsure if she would like to have more. I have a strong need to see my genes carry on after I pass, and just that knowledge would provide me with a great deal of peace.
Personal letter
To the Intended parent(s): My deepest desire is to make your dreams come true, by helping to give you the family you want. You would also be making my dreams come true by making sure that my genes continue on. My interest is not so much in raising the child, as it is in ensuring that I leave a biological legacy. If you were comfortable allowing me some sort of contact with the child, or even occasional pictures/status updates that would be great, but if you aren't comfortable with that it's fine as well.
